With the arrival of sunny London days, we’re all desperate to get outdoors and enjoy the beautiful weather. When you’re tired of sunbathing and bored with the pub, check out our picks for the best outdoor activities in the upcoming months.
Take a wander around Chelsea Physic Garden and visit the brand new World Woodland Garden, featuring trees and plants from North America to East Asia. From 1st April onwards.
On the first bank holiday in May, head to the Canal Way Cavalcade that has taken place in Little Venice every year since 1981. Enjoy a variety of food and drink stalls and family friendly entertainment with the backdrop of hundreds of bright and beautiful narrow boats. From 2nd to 4th May.
Looking for something more cultural? Grab a blanket and Pimms and check out the Open Air Theatre at Regents Park. Offering a wide variety of shows from J M Barrie’s Peter Pan to Chekov’s The Seagull, there’s something for everyone to enjoy under the stars. From 15th May.
If the British weather lives up to its reputation and takes a turn for the worst, a quick reschedule will be in order; so grab a taste of the outdoors, indoors. The ‘Public London: 10 years of transforming spaces’ at New London Architecture shows how the capital’s streets, squares, green spaces, rivers and parks have changed in the last decade.
