Supercity Aparthotels set to open fourth London aparthotel in 2018
Serviced apartment specialists Supercity Aparthotels, are set to open a 35,000 sq.ft Chancery Lane site, adding to their existing portfolio of three London aparthotels – The Rosebery in Clerkenwell and two Earls Court properties; Templeton Place and Nevern Place.
The Chronicle, as it will be known, is in a prime position for business and leisure travellers alike, 2 minutes walk from Chancery Lane tube station, perfectly placed to access London’s business districts and the vibrancy of Covent Garden.
Located on Furnival Street, in the heart of the legal industry, the new aparthotel will boast a range of 53 luxury apartments, two floors of state of the art offices and an onsite gastro pub.
‘We are currently building our next exciting aparthotel. Acquiring such a prominent site with such an interesting history is very exciting for us, the former Jewish Chronicle Building is a little piece of journalistic history in the middle of a booming business district.
We are thrilled to be bringing a unique Aparthotel to Chancery Lane and introducing the many diverse businesses in the area to the benefits of staying in a Supercity Aparthotel.’ Alexis Burton, Managing Director, Supercity Aparthotels
The new aparthotel will house stylish and sophisticated apartments, a gym, gastro pub, car and bicycle parking facilities, complimentary wifi, housekeeping service and a friendly and dedicated team providing a tailored service as standard.
Architects Rolfe Judd have been appointed to design and detail the scheme. The current site will make way for a vibrant new development featuring a mix of new and old facades. The existing envelope of The Castle pub is to be retained and incorporated into the more modern new elevations either side, forming a development which provides both an elegant and sympathetic response within its conservation area setting.
The Chancery Lane site is a natural progression for the future growth of Supercity Aparthotels in 2018.
