Printworks Kitchen: New late openings!
Our café at The Rosebery, Printworks Kitchen, has been the perfect go-to for speedy breakfasts and delicious lunches for nine months now – and what a nine months it has been! With a constantly changing menu full of fresh salads, succulent sandwiches and indulgent cakes and bakes, it’s truly worthy of the much used moniker, ‘nutritious and delicious’. This autumn, Printworks Kitchen is extending its opening hours to 8pm, Wednesday to Friday, forging its way to become the perfect spot for a post-work (and pre-party?) tipple and bite to eat.
Their brand new Evening Menu focuses on food that can be shared and savoured and is the ideal pairing to a drink and a chat with friends or colleagues. Their bar snacks satisfy that all too familiar lust for nibbles; from the chic and simple ‘Bread & Oil’ to their ‘Homemade Curry Popcorn’, these are far from your average bowl of peanuts and packet of crisps.
If it’s something more substantial you’re looking for, the piece de resistance of their nocturnal offerings comes in the form of their Sharing Platters; you can travel round the culinary world with generous servings of the best of Italian, Persian and Mexican cuisine. Crisp homemade tortilla chips are the perfect host for guacamole, salsa and sour cream in the Mexican platter or, if Italian is more your thing, creamy homemade pesto is perfect drizzled on top of crunchy bruschetta. The fresh yoghurt sabzi, smoky aubergine dip and juicy lamb skewers of the Persian platter offer a variety of zingy flavours but if you’re hankering for something more traditional, you can’t go wrong with a decadent chunk of cheese and pickle on a hunk of fresh bread from the eponymous ‘Cheese and Bread’ platter.
Wash these treats down with the new bar menu, a carefully edited range of wines and beers featuring award winning English wines and gluten-free beers. Looking for something more glamourous? The cocktail menu caters for traditional tastes – a beautiful G&T is no problem here – as well as seasonal Bellini’s and the drink of 2015, Aperol Spitz. See you at the bar!
