Our Pick of London Hot Desk Spots

With Flexible working on the rise, hot desk-ing office spaces are popping up all over the capital. If you’re looking for a spot to prop up your laptop and get on with some work, we’ve selected our top picks for you.

The Office Group

We were once members here, and we had a lot of fun being able to work from different locations for meetings or team planning days. Our favourite was The Bloomsbury Building in Holborn. With branches from The Shard to Shoreditch and a selection of membership types all over London, there is something for everyone! The teams are super friendly and their summer parties are brilliant!

The Soho Collective

One of London’s most gorgeous boutique co-working and event spaces. They’re also incredibly friendly, fun, sociable and the space is located right in the heart of London’s vibrant Soho, which is one of those locations that just can’t be beaten if you like a lot happening on your doorstep! Five minutes’ walk from three Tubes – Tottenham Court Road, Leicester Square and Piccadilly Circus – and ten minutes from Oxford Circus, the space is in the perfect central location. With so many options on dining, drinking and shopping, you’ll probably spend more time out of this office space than in it…

We had the pleasure of speaking with some of the team here and had a show round of the Clerkenwell branch which was amazing! They’re marketing as a premium flexible working venue, with lots of onsite luxuries such as wellness classes, bike storage and lockers, and well-stocked bathroom and shower facilities. A number of membership options are available; at the moment there are just two Clerkenwell locations, however there are a number of London locations due to open throughout 2018-19.

Super cool environment in many top London locations, hello Sheraton House! Options include hot desks, dedicated desks and private office. WeWork is more of a community, rather than a place to just park up and get on with your own business and they’re very good at it. With lots of networking events, access to a global network of entrepreneurs and envious spaces, you’d be hard pushed to find anything that works better.

The Club House

Different from those mentioned above, The Club House is positioned as London’s leading business club, business lounge and meeting space. There’s definitely more of an executive feel here and we like it! Membership options are just like a member’s club where you sign up yearly for daily / monthly access depending on how frequently you need to use their services. Locations in Bank, Mayfair and St James’s, perfect for the business high flyer!

Mainyard Studios

The most affordable in our line up and we really like their cause! A real community for start-ups, and prefer to separate themselves from the likes of all those mentioned above. Being a start-up they also understand that when starting a business, money in the bank is more important that flashy offices and fight for the best rates possible to give clients a better deal. Locations are not as central, in order to keep costs low and can be found in Wimbledon Hackney Wick and Walthamstow.

We would love to add our own to the list and with The Chronicle opening this summer, we have two floors of dedicated co-working office space coming to Chancery Lane soon, so stay tuned! All of our suites are equipped with desk space, phone and work lamp, so you don’t even have to leave the comfort of your own room if you’re staying with us… Our studio suites start from £140 +VAT. Bookable here.
