The London Olympic torch

Flame, flame, flame…

The Olympic flame passed within a third of a mile of us today; paraded through the leafy streets of Kensington and Chelsea, it rested briefly on the steps of the open air theatre in Holland Park, less than 5 minutes walk from Templeton and Nevern Place.

Unfortunately, we forgot that this was happening until just now, and have missed the whole thing – typical! We’ll have to satisfy ourselves with watching it on the news this evening. It’s not often that major cultural and sporting events happen on the streets of the city where we live, but in true Brit style, all of us here at Supercity missed the whole thing!
